Africa's Top Wildlife Countries

I started traveling to Africa in 1993. Upon returning to New York from my second trip, I picked up a copy of Africa's Top Wildlife Countries and read it cover to cover as I knew I was hooked on the experience and could not wait to go again. I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge and information imparted in the book, and have used the last several editions to help me plan the 15 trips I have taken to Africa since!

Africa's Top Wildlife Countries

Africa's Top Wildlife Countries is my main reference book for traveling to Africa...and has been for more than a decade. It told me about places I'd only heard of... and many I had NEVER heard of. To this day, I have used the book as a reference for planning almost a dozen ‘trips of a lifetime' to Africa...and I plan to keep going on more!!

"Africa is an incredibly diverse and changing place. Lodges and camps come and go on the safari circuit, emerging destinations like Mozambique and Ethiopia offer new wildlife experiences, and tried and true countries like Kenya, Tanzania and Botswana continue to redefine the classic safari. The 7th edition of Mark Nolting's book stays ahead of the curve with valuable insights and information to help you plan your own unique safari."

Africa's Top Wildlife Countries

"Every safari to Africa is both a physical and spiritual journey, and each is rewarding. But knowledge of the very finest African safari destinations is actually like a small secret jewel. When a safari is perfect it will be even greater than you can imagine, and literally alter they way you view life forever after. Mark's book is an honest and revealing analysis of the best. Beyond that you must choose. But once armed with this precious insight, at least you can focus on that journey with confidence, because no venture into Africa is to be taken lightly. You are visiting the roots of mankind, in our place or origin. You are reaching deep into a place of instincts and even exploring the euphoria of being close to your animalistic self. You will come back changed. And you will have fun changing. But while Africa's part of the bargain is to give you that exposure, that experience of a lifetime, as a traveler your part to play is in a dual responsibility of being open to our cultures and to be as informed as you can be. This book is the best single way to prepare for that."

Africa's Top Wildlife Countries

Africa's Top Wildlife Countries was my key reference book ten years ago when I first started traveling in Africa. It was a first rate, no nonsense resource then and it just keeps getting better with each edition. The book contains detailed information about each country and what it offers; it is content rich and very well organized, making it very easy to use a planning guide. Nolting's book covers all the things that matter most when traveling to Africa; where to go, when are the best times, what will you see, what activities are available in each country. Everything you need to know to plan your African Safari is covered in this fantastic book!

Mark Nolting's African Safari Journal has accompanied our family on each of our sojourns to Africa. Incorporating an abbreviated guide to the African bush, a planner and a personal journal in a compact format, the African Safari Journal has been an indispensable tool accompanying our travels. African Safari Journal

I refer to the African Safari Journal while I'm on my journey on a daily basis. I use it for reference as well as to keep track of all I've seen, felt, photographed...all my thoughts and activities in one place. I find it to be a handy reference when I return home and arrange my photos and share my experiences with family and friends. I've even referred friends to Mark to travel to particular places after reviewing my African Safari Journals...I keep a new one for each trip...along with my photo albums. The journal is just one of the many advantages of traveling with the very client-oriented Africa Adventure Company!!

African Safari Journal

We found the African Safari Journal to be an invaluable tool. When we left home, we had no appreciation for how many animals, or how many different kinds of animals we would see. Each night we would record our adventure and learn more about what we had seen. When we got home, it was a great tool to recreate our journey and make a scrapbook to share with our friends.

African Safari Journal

Initially I intended to use the African Safari Journal as something to simply wrap up as a Christmas present for my children prior to our trip in July. As it turned out, I probably enjoyed the book even more than the kids and refer to it frequently at our travel agency. It was a wealth of information prior to our departure and during our trip. I loved having the maps and a place to take notes. The animal illustrations with descriptions and check-list in the back are terrific.

African Safari Journal

We observed a family using the African Safari Journal at an airport. We asked to see it and were impressed at the amount of useful information your company provided in the Journal. We followed up and began planning our next trip with The Africa Adventure Company. Your company provided us with such a unique trip, tailored specifically to our interests.
